The newly designed building, located on Bulevar kneza Aleksandra Karađorđevića, is conceived as a freestanding structure, surrounded by generously landscaped green areas. This design approach emerged from a thorough analysis of the surrounding environment, with full respect for the architectural context and the values of the existing setting.
The design strategy aimed to preserve the established structure of the neighborhood, avoiding disruption, while striving to enhance it through thoughtful integration into the ambient context.
The building is a family residential structure with a layout of B+GF+1+RF. During the design process, particular attention was given to the positioning and proportions of the nearby cultural monument of exceptional importance, the “4th of July” Museum, which significantly influenced the architectural concept and form.
The architectural solution is based on a simple cubic form, refined through the use of contemporary materials and carefully composed façade elements. The combination of glazed surfaces and solid volumes creates rhythm, visual dynamics, and clearly defined zones of privacy. Finishes in anthracite tones, along with the use of natural materials such as wood and stone, contribute to a contemporary yet understated expression.
Large glazed openings establish a direct connection between interior spaces and the garden or terraces. In this way, the interior plays an active role in defining the appearance of the building, depending on the time of day or season, while providing natural light, ventilation, and a sense of spatial openness.
