The location intended for the construction of a residential and commercial building at the corner of Skerlićeva and Braničevska Streets has an extremely complex context that is also inspiring. The building is part of a city block, incompletely formed at that time. The immediate presence of the National Library and the Temple of St. Sava, incorporated into the beautiful park area, are enough binding access to the planned intervention.
Another important characteristic of the location is the corner position of the building, and therefore, before any decision on the design solution, the decision on the conceptual approach to such a problematic situation, is to give importance and a special character to the corner of the building.
The third characteristic is reflected in the intention to establish a balance between the complexity and expressiveness and originality of the building with simplicity and appropriateness, i.e. respecting the context of the environment.
In accordance with the mentioned context of the exceptional location in the immediate vicinity of the Temple of St. Sava and the Vračar Plateau, noble and durable materials of high aesthetic value were chosen for the finishing of the future building, i.e. for full surfaces, travertino romano classico stone in combination with glass surfaces in frames made of aluminum profiles in natural aluminum color.
These materials, along with the overall conceptual and formal approach, ensure an appropriate relationship of an abstract and neutral relationship with the temple of St. Sava.
